So today the British public got their wish and the News of The World has shut down following claims of hacking phones of Milly Dowler, the parents of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, the families and the victims of the 7/7 bombings and recently it was found out they’d been hacking the families and victims of the war dead.

However News International think they can pull the wool over the British public’s eyes and rename the paper “The Sun on Sunday” it was registered 2 days a go on 5th July 2011. Coincidence?! I think not.

Studying journalism at University and seeing a national paper stoop that low to get sales is sick. I hope all those involved are imprisoned. It is illegal what they have done let alone the sheer lack of sympathy and respect for the families and the memories of the deceased.

News International itself should be shut down it’s a corrupt company which stems all the way from the top. We know that Rupert Murdoch will do anything and has no limits to get what he wants.

He is a disgrace.

His company is a disgrace.

Well this song is actually one that I can’t help but belt out, even if it is seriously out of tune :)

So it appears this is how I now spend my Saturday evenings in my uni house. Rebel I know.

Oh that and dancing like a douche :)

I am home alone so it is perfectly acceptable. Well it’s acceptable even if I’m not :) So what’s newwwww?

NOTHING!

well…. my eye hurts. A LOT!

I think it may have been a case of flailing fists in my sleep. Good one Luxford! ¬¬

Man I don’t even know what to sayyy!

My life atm is basically.

Work + No money + British Weather = Life.

fhgfnkfdgdflgdfk I just don’t knowwwwwwww

So here I am at 22.21 on a Thursday evening just writing rambles :)

Last night I had a pretty damn amazing time at a girls night at Rachels :) I dressed in Rhiannon’s dalmatian onesie and made her naked paha :)

All in the name of banter!

I have never is a brilliant game, as is hide and seek in the dark.

I was the winner :) Hiding in a wardrobe :) BRILLIANT :)

This weekend will be amazing :) It’s Kristie’s 21st and I’m off to Reading for her party :)

I can’t wait :) It’s going to be so good!

So I can’t actually think of anything else to write other than I’m super dooper excited to see Emma and Helen too <3 It’s been too long!!!!

I’ll write another dayyyyy :)

So it’s been well over 2 months since I’ve posted anything on here!

I’ll be honest it’s because I’ve been super busy recently!

I’ve finished my first year of University and I’ve been working at Starbucks a damn lot!

So now it’s summer :D

YAAAAAAAAY!

I’ve learnt a lot of things recently!

1) Do not under any circumstances think that doing a shot of Absinthe before leaving the student union is a brilliant idea, especially when you have work in the morning at 8.30 and it is now 2.30! It’s not big and it’s certainly not clever!

2) Leaving a 2,500 word essay to the morning it’s due will kill you!

3) Drinking 2 pots of black filter coffee in under an hour is a recipe for disaster and will actually make you hyper!

4) Being so determined to be blonde in the space of 5 months is a pretty bad idea and your hair will make you look like a butch lesbian due to being so short and unstyled.

5) I am genuinely terrible with my own money. (Wait I’ve known that for a longgggg time!)

6) Don’t get involved with talking to drunk people on the bus at 5pm. They talk bollocks and won’t leave you alone. However, it can be pretty amusing. Especially when they express their desire to be a dolphin whilst in the bath.

I think that’s about it.

I’m free for Summer 2011 so bring it on!!!!!

Those wise words were told to me by a close friend called Jon Ham.

Jon’s listened to all my shit recently, crying my eyes out on the phone to him and he’s told me to get a back bone in the nicest possible way. I’m grateful having a guys perspective on my problems, it’s all very well with girl mates but a guy can tell you how it is whether it be from past experiences or just a general opinion.

So what’s new with the Luxford?

I have ginger hair. I can’t remember if i said that in the previous blog or not. But yes my hairs ginger.

I did dye it red but it’s just faded so quick.

Well at least my hairs not black anymore that’s all I’m saying :)

It’s the start of a new Hollie. New hair.

I think that’s the thing most girls will change first of all. Hair.

It’s the easiest thing to do. It’s not like you need to go to the gym or actually work at it.

You just put the dye on then ta da! Within an hour you have different hair. It’s not exactly a hard task.

It could be even lazier if you get someone else to do it for you. All you have to do then is sit there and let them do the work!

Sooooo…..

Plans for summer?

I NEED A HOLIDAY!

I NEED A PASSPORT BEFORE I GO ON THAT HOLIDAY

I NEED MONEY TO BUY THAT PASSPORT BEFORE I GO ON THAT HOLIDAY.

Blargh the story of my life. Money money money. It doesn’t grow on trees. I wish it fucking would!

I don’t really know what else to write.

Actually I’m gonna do a separate blog with my favourite songs at the moment.

I’ve not actually done that yet so yes. I will do that now ;)

So today is Saturday and it has been one lazyyyyy day :)

Cold dominos pizza for breakfast, a nice long shower, a bit of tidying and now Desperate Housewives series 3 with my housemate Kristie :) Oh and a glass of Disaronno and Lemonade… wait my 3rd glass :)

This is the life of a student eh!

I have really enjoyed University so far as I say and I think I’ve made some life long friends. I did need to get away from Maidstone there’s too much that happened there, I needed a new start.

That’s exactly what’s happened here in Wycombe.

Yeah it’s not the most amazing town in the world it’s quite small but I quite like it. Plus unlike Maidstone it has a Starbucks and this one happens to be quite big :D

ok 4th glass of Disaronno now.

So what does Wycombe actually have in it?

Well…

There’s the chair museum. I’ve not been there…..yet. When there’s nothing to do I think that’s something me and Kristie will casually walk on down to…

Eden Centre- That’s basically the shopping centre. There’s Topshop, River Island and House of Fraser there so I’m alright :)

Cineworld- The name gives it away.

AMF Bowling- again the name gives it away…

Pure & Life On Mars- Wycombes only night club. Imagine Liquid and Envy in Maidstone. More run down (back to the Ikon days) and practically dead. The only nights it’s really busy is Monday (student night) where you can get a double vodka and red bull for £2.50 (it used to be £1.50 :(  ) On Fridays in Life on Mars it’s basically a cheesy middle aged play ground. Full of creepy guys. You’re not cool if you go to Pure or Life on Mars on any other day of the week except Monday. Trust me. I know.

Dominos- These guys will become your best friends and more than likely on your speed dial. When they can tell you what you want before you can tell them that’s when you know you’ve ordered too much pizza from them. Good thing is when you’re a student you get 50% off when you spend £30 and trust me. That’s not hard to do. One night we ordered £80 worth of pizza for £40. Best moment of my life telling the guy on the other end of the phone we were students. It cost us £5 each. There were 8 of us :) It was AMAZING!

There’s nothing else really worth mentioning about Wycombe haha :)

But I do love the difference in life from mine in Maidstone. The independence is amazing. I love having my own house and having to do my own stuff.

It’s amazing :)

I shall obviously keep posted on what’s happening :) x

Wow. It’s been well over a year since I last used this!

Soooo much has happened!

I’m at University now studying Journalism and I can safely say it has made me really value certain things. I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever been happier in my life.

Moving away from Maidstone was hard at first but I think it is the best decision I have ever made. I needed to get away and stand on my own two feet rather than being mothered to the extreme.

So I’m now living in Buckinghamshire. It’s not far from home but still far enough. I needed that break away. It’s strange I’m already half way through my first year. It’s completely flown by.

I have had the best few months of my life here. I thought life was over when I broke up from my ex. God I was so naive.

I began to wonder how life would go on without him and how I would cope from day to day without him in my life. Waking up to those silly texts every morning, hearing the words I love you on a daily basis, knowing there was that someone always there who loved you. Obviously it was hard at first. However the relationship ended during Freshers Week. I knew that it’d be easy to forget about it as it was going to be one busy two weeks.

Here I am now. In my prime.

“Life has just fucking begun boy”  - Kristie Lewis, housemate. The wisest words I have ever heard.

I’m loving university life.

I’m going to use this so much more.

Will write more soon :) x

Hellooooo :)

If you read my blog yesterday you will know I said about the new Lush Lip Scrubs, well today I went into my local Lush store and low and behold sitting on the counter was a bowl of the little darlings! I spent at least 10 minutes umming and arring over which one to get! I decided to buy the Bubblegum one in the end, it’s amazing I have obsessed over it all day! I sat there at work reapplying it every so often, it’s amazing and I do recommend it!

There are also 2 other flavours of it; Mint Julip which smells just like a box of after eight dinner mints and Sweet Lips which reminds me lots of the smell of the Whip Stick lip balm that they sell. I think when I have my next pay day I will invest in the other! They’re £4.50 each but they really do what they say! The bubblegum one is nice and pink too to match it’s title :)

Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I just though I’d give you a little post to let you know these little pots of magic are now in the Lush Stores :)

Oh my it’s been a while since my last blog hasn’t it!

My internets been down for a few days, yes I was pretty close to crying!

The though of not being able to contact people, catching up on TV programmes I missed and not being able to talk to the one I love, it nearly killed me! For all of you that don’t know my boyfriends at university and this is one of my ways of being able to keep in contact, especially when I have no credit on my phone!

Anyway enough about my internet problems! Actually one thing which annoyed me when I called up Belkin is the unfortunate lack of communication between the customer and the supposed helper! I told him what was wrong and he constantly repeated himself which resulted in me getting extremely angry with him and being very snappy! He must have thought I was a bit crazy, but the truth is after spending an hour on the phone, repeating yourself 5 times on each sentence does get frustrating and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone here!

So on the bus to college the other day I was just thinking how funny it is hearing people singing along to their music and not actually realising! I just sit there and giggle to myself, is anyone with me on this? I suppose I just enjoy laughing at other peoples expense! I shut off into my own little world when I’m on the bus to college, if I’m on my own I’ll sit there balancing a cup of coffee, my phone and my iPod touch on my lap!  Occasionally I’ll sit there with my Nintendo DS either on Mario Kart or Super Mario Bros :) Either way I have a juggling act! I love just shutting down into my own little world, just ignoring the bad things that are going on and just entering the world of me.

Another thing I’d like to note that has made me one happy girl is the fact that Source Bar is now opening up again :D I’m so happy! It’s where i celebrated my 18th birthday, getting extremely drunk and then feeling it the next morning!

I’ve been looking at so much make up recently it’s ridiculous!

I’m loving the MAC pigments and eyeshadows, they’re such bright and wonderful colours! I’m going to Bluewater on Monday with Vicky, so hopefully I’m getting the money I’m owed and I can get something amazing! Another thing that I’ve been looking at is Urban Decay’s new make up palette, Alice In Wonderland.

It’s wonderful isn’t it! My friend Teresa was telling me about it at college the other day, I just searched it up and I want it! I love the eyeshadows and the eyeliners! Also the Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a godsend! It’s good as a base or even on it’s own! I personally use it on it’s own as I’m not one for bright eyeshadows on a daily basis, but when I’m out clubbing it’s amazing! It really does what it says on the tin, it really brings out the colour of the eyeshadow! So it is a must buy!

WANT!

I’ve been watching a few YouTube blogs recently, Whatstyleistonickel is a personal favourite at the moment! I was watching his newest video which i shall post under this about the new Lush Lip Scrubs, I shall be buying one of those for sure! They look amazing, and buy the sounds of the video it sounds amazing! I have something similar from the Body Shop, it’s very minty and does the job however, the Lush products sound amazing! So either way I’ll have one :)

I will be keeping the blogs updated a lot more, as I have the internet back now!

Anyway I shall love you and leave you for now!

Hollie :)

Afternoon all!

Don’t get me wrong I love snow but it’s now really starting to piss me off, It’s pretty much destroying my plans and controlling my social life! As I live in the countryside (well pretty much) there aren’t loads of buses and well taxis cost a fortune so there’s no way I can do anything even if I wanted to. It’s bloody ridiculous! I do wish that this country was prepared for all sorts of weather, even when we have loads of warning of snow they leave everything to the last-minute!

When it snowed back in December everything was chaos where I live, the local council didn’t even grit the town! So when I was in town a couple of days after on my way to work it all the paths and roads were sheer ice! I found it quite amusing that they then made someone to do gritting over the ice, I was thinking to myself now why didn’t you do this the other day when you knew the snow was coming?! They spend thousands of pounds on hideous totem poles and a frightful new Travelodge along the river side yet they can’t spend money helping out the public by doing some gritting! Luckily this time they’ve actually decided to grit early, obviously they’ve learnt from their mistakes, however give it till next winter and I guarantee it’ll be exactly the same situation as it was the time before!

So I’ve been watching the news today and there’s one thing that is really pissing me off (other than the snow) the proposed march for Islam UK through Wooton Basset! WHY!

Why use the place where our poor soldiers are respected for fighting for their country, fighting against people like them in Afghanistan, and dying in action and they want to trample on it all with their stupid extremist campaign . Why Wooton Basset?! Why not London where all other extremist groups go? It makes me feel sick to the bottom of my stomach. If we did this in their country I can safely say it wouldn’t happen at all! Urgh things like this are heartless and makes me feel sick at the lack of disrespect they shown our country! We wouldn’t disrespect their country so why do it here!
